*The actual climbing performance largely depends on the rider's weight and speed when going uphill. It is recommended to maintain a moderate speed on steep ascents to ensure stable motor performance and an optimal riding experience. Please avoid long rides on very steep ascents to avoid affecting the motor's lifespan.
ABE & Legal Issues
Does my e-scooter need insurance?
Yes. To participate in road traffic, you need liability insurance and a license plate for your e-scooter. This confirms that your vehicle is covered by liability insurance.
What does ABE mean?
"ABE" stands for General Operating Permit. It indicates that the e-scooter has been tested by the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) and meets the legal requirements for use on public roads.
Where am I allowed to drive?
E-scooters may only be used on cycle paths. If no cycle path is available, the road must be used. Riding on sidewalks and in pedestrian zones is not permitted.
Technical questions
Does the e-scooter have a zero-start function?
No. According to German regulations, e-scooters are not allowed to have a zero-start function. The motor only engages when the rider pushes the e-scooter. This increases safety.
How fast is an e-scooter allowed to go?
According to German legislation, the maximum permissible speed for e-scooters is 20 km/h .
A technical tolerance of +10% is allowed, however the speed must not exceed this.
Our first models are set to 20 km/h . In the future, we plan – within the legally permissible limits – to also offer versions with a top speed of up to 22 km/h .
Does the e-scooter have turn signals?
Yes. The turn signals are located on the handlebar ends. Rear turn signals are not currently installed, but we are working on a solution that complies with German road traffic regulations (StVZO).
How long does it take to charge?
Our e-scooters have two charging ports and come with two chargers. Charging time is approximately 6 hours .
In the future, we plan to use chargers with higher charging currents to further reduce charging time.
